Hi all!

I recently moved and part of the reason was setting up a home theater in this room. I have the sonos arc, sub mini, and a big lg g3.
For months I’ve been going back and forth on pulling the trigger on 2 era 300s, but I am worried that my set up isnt ideal with my couch against the wall. I can feasibly push it forward 8-10 inches but not much more. Would it be a waste to go for these?

Only you can determine that. If I was serious about Atmos, I’d go for the Era 300s, and put them on stands (like I have). If I was happy with Dolby Digital, and less immersive Atmos, I’d go with Era 100s.

I’d possibly look at wall mounts for both, actually,  but you’d still likely want to move the couch slightly forward.

Only your ears, your room, and your wallet are the ultimate arbiters here.

Get the 300s, make some temporary mounts and try various spots. If they don't work swap them for 100s.

I did the swap here, moved the 300s to use as a stereo / Atmos pair instead of surrounds.  Spouse wasn't happy with the size or placement so they went despite the superior sound.

My 100s, now set up as surrounds are horribly placed but still sound pretty good. Wife is happy.
