Turntable skipping

Good afternoon all

 

I have a Project Debut Carbon connected through a preamp to a Connect line in

Every 5 seconds or so, the music skips, same time elapses each skip

I have tried another brand new turntable and it does the same thing

This must be a Sonos think, but it only happens when using ther line in source

Does anybody have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Remember, the ‘density’ of a line in tends to be greater than a service stream, which makes it more sensitive to wifi interference . It could be enough where it shows up only when playing on the line in. 

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, their lawyers get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Solved by setting audio delay to max on the line in souirce, no drop out yet
