Question

sonos speakers not found on local network

Suddenly my Sonos speakers are no longer found on the local WiFi network when I want to stream music (via Airplay or otherwise).

The app still works and through the app I can play music on my speakers. However, on my IPhone (and my girlfriends IPhone), we cannot use Spotify or other audio apps that previously worked. On Spotify it said: ‘no devices found on this network’.

we have ‘klik en klaar’ internet from Odido.

any idea how to fix this?

Can you clarify please. What “app” works? Windows/Mac? Or Android device but not iPhone?

Has phone or router had an update recently?

Have you tried a power down of router and devices? If not, try that. When powering on again make sure the router is fully restarted and wifi is running before restarting Sonos devices.

Thanks for replying.

its the Sonos app on the IPhone. It’s updated.

and as far as I know no recent updates, maybe my router updated automatic.

and I’ll try the router restart thing. But you wrote about turning off the Sonos devices, that means unplugging all of them right?

Yes; they’re designed for “always on” and go into a low power state when not in use, so the only way to turn off is unplug.
