I have been unable to use my old S1 for a couple of years. Trying again, but no settings icon on the app. I’m trying to check wi fi etc but without settings I can’t do. I have an up to date iPhone 12

Up to date iPhone 12 runs which version of iOS? That’s a pretty old device, relatively speaking. Do you have something else that you can install a controller on?

You’ve checked here, correct?

A newer controller device could be borrowed for a few minutes to do the setup if yours is out of support.

When done just remove the app and return it

Then use the older version for the still supported control fuctions. I do this with several antique Android tablets.

The iPhone 12 is still capable of running iOS 26 so you do not need to get a new controller,

If you delete the S1 app and reinstall, then select join existing system when prompted, does it then locate your system?

iOS 26.3.1

Thanks for suggestions. I have been through the set ups but still can’t find system. I will try someone else’s controller at some stage. Before I get the lump hammer out.

Why have you been unable to use the system for a couple of years?

If you’ve replaced your router in that time, then the system won’t show on the new Wi-Fi network.

You could try connecting a device by ethernet to your router and trying again.

Problem started with new router. The app doesn’t show the settings cog so can’t check, I did reinstall app. Also connected via cable. Tried Sonos support who were good, but still no joy. Flashing green light but device not found.

If the controller hasn’t found and joined a system, then the settings cog will be unavailable.

Your best option would be to contact Sonos Support again.
