Sonos Era 100 connect to Audio Technica LP60XBT

Hi! I purchased an Era 100 to line-in for my Audio Technica turntable. I also bought the Sonos USB-C to RCA (3.5) adaptor. Furthermore, I bought a headphone-to-RCA 3.5 (female and male) connector piece off amazon. I tried connecting the Sonos connector to the RCA connector I bought online and the pieces fit together but they are “loose” and no music is playing through the Era 100. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have updated the app and system as well.

Sonos doesn't have an RCA connector on the adapter, just a 3.5 mm female jack.

Check that either you have the turntable internal preamp set to ON, or you have an external phono-preamp. One or the other is needed, first for signal levels and second to apply the needed RIAA equalization.

You should go from the RCA connector, 8 + mm, on the turntable, maybe through the pnono-preamp if needed, to the Sonos female 3.5 mm stereo jack on the adapter.

Good stuff here:

If that fails, well,  not much you can do to fix a poor quality cable, once you have a good one give it another try.

Thank you! I will make sure the turntable internal preamp is set to on. I have the Sonos connector and tried to connect this amazon cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LM2Y2U4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) to the Sonos connector then to the turntable. Is there a different cable I should be using? Thank you again for your help!

What is(are) the connection(s) on the turntable output?

That cable looks to be the right one and Ugreen has a good reputation, I have some of their stuff here.

Are you following the steps here?
