“My Sonos Move suddenly shuts off. I can’t turn it back on, as if the battery were dead. When I put it back on its charging base, it turns on again and the battery shows 100%.”

Certainly sounds like some odd issue. Have you submitted a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it? Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, their lawyers get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a Move to test on, but given the lack of other threads, I do wonder if this is a local issue. That call to Sonos would certainly help nail it down, either way.

Work with SONOS support. I suspect that the battery is at end of life. As batteries age the run time decreases to the point where it is no longer practical to use. If you have a second MOVE you could swap batteries as a test.
