I recently bought a pair of SONOS ERA 100.

I created a group for Sonos ERA 100 called “FrontERA100”

I would like to know if I can include the sub on a seperate group?

Is this possible when the sub is already assign to a different group called “TV Room” with a Beam and Play 1(2 rear) configured?

Or

I need to purchase another sub? Caused my end goal for music is just to listen ther SONOS Era 100 and Sub.

Hello,

It’s not possible to simply ‘share’ a Sub between rooms without removing and assigning the Sub from one room to the other, losing any saved Trueplay profile due to the change in room configuration. You wouldn’t want to do this on a regular basis.

Another Sub (or Sub Mini) purchase would be on the cards if you wish to listen on the Era 100s plus sub.

ps. what you refer to as a ‘group’ is really a ‘room’. In Sonos terminology, a group would be when you wish the Beam setup to play the same audio as the Era 100 stereo pair.

Hi Mr.T,

Thank you for your Quick reply and really appreciate them.  And thanks for correcting the terminology use.

Seems like I need the sub mini for sure!

I never appreciate music coming in the middle since I really want to hear the stereo sounds cleanly.

Just for reference, and to support the answer above, here is a link to the Sonos terminology we all tend to use.
