Yes, in addition to Sonos Playlists, a recent app update also allows you to create Playlists and/or Add tracks to a Playlist in some supported music services, Spotify being one of them.

• Content services can now provide additional options in the “More” menu across the Sonos app.

The “More” option is accessed by clicking on the three dots “…” either in Now Playing window, or when viewing the queue.

Not quite what I meant. I was thinking more of SONOS supplying the music content. Working like spotify does. Basically if SONOS offered the service we could pay and have everything compact on one app instead of connecting music accounts.

You mean like Sonos Radio, or their HD service? 
 

Sonos mostly depends on others to provide music, and focuses their efforts on hardware and software. Think of them like LG or Samsung, they provide the means to listen to other’s content.
