playbar emitting tone

For some reason my play bar began emoting a repeating tone. The play bar wasn’t being used at the time. None of the Sonos devices were in use.

Unplug it from power for 30 seconds and see if that clears the issue.

If the above doesn’t change anything, try removing the IR plug, either from the TV end, or the PLAYBAR end. In the past, this has been experienced by people who have been getting the signal from either the TV, or cable box receiving updates, which ‘activates’ the IR passthrough by the TV to the Sonos PLAYBAR.

It might be worth double checking your software on both the TV set, and your cable box, as well as the Sonos.
