Beam Generation 1

I have a Beam Gen i 4 years or so old, about a couple of years ago it powered down while in use and would not restart after numerous attempts. I put it in storage and a few months ago dug it out, plugged it in and it ran as it should for about 10 minutes then once again it stopped working.

My first question is. can what appears to be a simple fault be repaired in NZ  and if so where would I find  a repairer?

If it cannot be repaired in  NZ should I dump it, regard it as a lesson and never buy another Sonos if that is the lifespan I can expect from Sonos a product.

Sonos themselves don’t offer repairs, you might be able to find a local electronics shop that is willing to have a go.

I’ve had PLAY:1s and PLAY:3s for around 20 years with no failure. But any manufactured device can have a fault, especially electronic equipment. It’s an unfortunate fact of life.
