I need to cut and re-splice my Sonos power cord to correctly mount my speakers. If the power cord is like any other cord -- say for a lamp or appliance -- this shouldn’t be a problem. But is there something unique about the Sonos cord that would make this operation a bad idea?

The only thing that is mildly different about any power cable used by Sonos is the terminator into the speaker itself, and those aren’t terribly unique for most products.
