Hello, over the last month, the AirPlay group keeps ungrouping after every session when streaming from Pandora on my iPhone. I recently updated to IOS 26 so it may be related to this update or a recent Sonos update.

Sounds like this is a known issue? Is there a fix (and not referring to restarting and unplugging the system - already done that).

Hi @Lindsey2212, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Airplay on your system.

Just to confirm, do you mean that when you stop streaming Pandora, the group you were playing to in the Sonos app ungroups? As far as I’m aware, a group shouldn’t split unless it’s either; done manually, the Ungroup on Autoplay is enabled, or the device is unplugged/disconnected from Wi-Fi.

Is this something that you can replicate or is it intermittent? If you can replicate it, I would recommend submitting two diagnostics, one before the ungrouping, and one after. If you can’t replicate the issue, then a diagnostics as soon as you notice the issue occurred would be recommended.

Once you have the diagnostics, please reach out to our support team with the reference numbers. They have the necessary tools available to look into your system, see why the ungrouping occurs, and help you resolve this.

I hope this helps!

This prior thread is exactly what’s still happening: As of a year ago, Sonos confirmed no fix but it was coming. Is there a fix yet? No need to recreate the wheel and there’s already lots of threads related to this issue with no resolution from Sonos.

Hi @Allie Gator

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Grouping non-AirPlay compatible speakers in with an AirPlay feed is not yet possible with the new Sonos app, but this feature will be returning at some point soon.

Or, so my documentation says, but you say:

Allie Gator wrote:

Also, the AirPlay sound plays on all speakers, once I re-add the lost speakers to the group.

If this is the case, then things are already better for you than we would expect. If this works, please continue doing this, and at some point, the non-AirPlay speakers will just stop dropping off the group (once an update that fixes it is in place).

In short, it’s us, not you, and we are working on it.

I hope this helps.
