NEW APP PROBLEMS***Cannot add alexa as a voice assistant

Why is this not fixed yet? It's a basic and core functionality of the product, heck i bought me era100 because of this.

I even tried to enable Sonos voice but that too isn't working

Just received Move 2 and had the same issue with not being able to add voice assistant. I'm on Android, specifically Samsung S22. I found something on another forum about uninstalling Amazon Shopping, then attempting to link Alexa and it did work. I then reinstalled Amazon Shopping. Clearly the Sonos app and Amazon Shopping app have a conflict involved. Hope this helps others.

I also tested leaving Amazon Shopping on the device and disabled  'Open Supported Links', which did not solve the problem.

It seems that Amazon Shopping app is catching the link that opens the browser in order to authorize the use of Alexa on Sonos speaker.

Uninstalling Alexa shopping does not work for me. I have tried both Alexa and Sonos Voice Control and Both wont start. I receive an error saying I need to connect to wifi, but of course, I am on wifi. I never had issues with the legacy app. New Era 100 speaker that cant be used with voice control 😔

I will try on my wifes iphone but such a pain because of different alexa accounts. 

I think the latest update broke it more? I was able to set this up about a week back. Now, trying to setup my new Era 100 that came today and ended up having both my devices unable to connect to Alexa. I removed Alexa from old device in an attempt to refresh things, but now both are met with the ss below… Over 3 hours setting this up I give up… I tried different phones, ipad, uninstalling amazon, alexa, restarting phone, several combinations, none working.

I have the same problem “there was a problem adding Alexa”…. Someone has a solution??

Same issue here, can’t add either Alexa or SVC to my Move.  I keep getting the ‘Make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi’ message.  Tried re-installing, removing skills, switching off VPN on the router etc.  

Approx. 5 months after the new App was rolled out, it’s still not for for purpose.

I bit the bullet and contacted SONOS support.  After much fannying about we ended up at this point:

(24/09/2024, 11:11:10): I understand. It seems the Alexa setup is affected by a current issue on certain Android controllers. As we are investigating this issue and looking for a fix, we recommend using an iOS device (if available) to set up Alexa on your Move, if not please expect a future update to sort the issue on Alexa setup from Android devices. 

UPDATE:  I tried adding Alexa and SVC from my Oppo Tablet, which is running Android 13, and both installed without any fuss.  Prior to this I had been trying to add the services from a Samsung S23 FE and an A12 running Android 14 and 12, respectively.

Same issue... Even iphone didn't work
