With my Sonos One, I can call out for Sonos or Alexa. When I ask either of them to play a song, they say okay, but nothing happens. If I ask for FOX News they say okay, but nothing happens. What’s wrong with it?

You have three questions. The first, you’d likely need to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. The Sonos device should normally play what you ask it.
When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
As to the second two issues, you’d need to talk to Amazon about. Sonos merely forwards your voice request to the Amazon server for processing. The SVC only recognizes commands regarding playback, and local processing would not recognize those names at all as being commands to the speaker fipor playback.
