alexa voice assistant is too energetic.

Since yesterday!?, the alexa voice assistant on the sonos device is louder.
Even with the sonos volume set to 1, alexa announces loudly.
The music volume can be changed as before from the app or alexa.
This has occurred on several of my sonos devices and not on the amazon device.
Also, this event is not cured by unlinking or signing out/in between sonos and amazon.

Is there a solution?

Am I the only one experiencing this?

    Welcome to the Sonos Community!

    Thanks for flagging. We are currently investigating reports of Alexa and Google Assistant being too loud as compared to the volume of the speaker.

    We don’t have an estimate for when a fix will be made available, but I will update this thread when it is. In the meantime, you can cease troubleshooting.

      Same here - now totally useless as morning alarm.  Is there an ETA for the fix on this Sonos?  Clearly a lot of your user base is finding it very frustrating so it should be prioritized.  Unfortunately this seems like yet another degradation in usability as we’ve been suffering for almost a year now.  Despite having spent $thousands equipping our entire home with Sonos gear, like many others we are now considering moving to a different platform that provides reliable functionality. 

       

      An update and ETA is really needed - why is this so difficult?

      Has this been fixed ? Noticed whilst having music moderately loud then asking Sonos voice assistant the weather it was at a modest level, separate from the music. 
       

      Is it safe to install Alexa again ? Lol

      I have not received any notification or announcement and have no way of knowing what happened, but it appears that my problem was fixed by an update around April.
