Sony KDL-40W2000 problem no ARC connection
My Sony KDL-40W2000 does not have ARC connection. When i use the adaptor cable to the optical connection on the Sky box things work fine until i turn the TV off - the sound from the TV continues through the Beam. Any ideas how to fix this.

Well, you could turn off the sky box, get in the habit of muting every time you turn off the tv, or get the Beam directly connected to the tv. Since your tv only outputs audio in RCA, you'd have to get the a rca to optical adapter to get that working.
And of course, you could upgrade your TV.
