There was indeed an outage with both Alexa and Sonos Voice, both around the time you posted. This has since been resolved so you should be able to use Alexa as normal again. Let me know if that isn’t the case.
For the thread you linked, while it likely did have the same cause as the outage, we’d still recommend beta users reach out to the beta team to report on issues.
Thanks for sharing and tagging the user! Hopefully they saw as their post was before the outage was raised.
