The answer is no, standalone Play 3 does not have microphones built-in. An Amazon Echo product is needed such as the Echo dot to enable Alexa.
Thanks Erwin,

So if I buy an Echo dot that will link to Sonos over wifi as I can't see anywhere to plug a jack into the Play 3?

Thanks

That is correct. If you get an Echo Dot you will be able to get it to play music on the Play 3

Hey there, tcummin123. Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community. If you plug the PLAY:3 into the router directly with an Ethernet cable, does the PLAY:3 come up?
