Do I need a Prime membership to use Alexa?

We have had Sonos speakers set up in multiple rooms for a few years, and we use Alexa to control them. However, I am planning to cancel my Prime membership. Will I still be able to use Alexa? Or is there an alternative voice command capability that I can use?

As far as I’m aware, there is no requirement from Amazon to be a Prime member to use Alexa, but you’d probably need to check with them.

There is Sonos Voice, which is available on many Sonos speakers, which requires nothing more than a Sonos device.
