Alexa+ Sonos Bug

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your speakers when using Alexa+.

Alexa+ is an Amazon feature that hasn’t been implemented with Sonos at this time, so we’d recommend reaching out to Amazon if any issues arise as they have the tools to see what’s going wrong.

Following… Just bought a new Echo Show 11 to replace Google as that was never Sonos friendly. Was hoping for tighter integration with Alexa+ but I get the same behavior as OP.

Haven’t reached out to Amazon, but I did find a work-around. It’s not perfect, but here is what I did.

1. Disabled Sonos skill to unlink devices from Alexa.
2. Removed Alexa voice control on the two Eras 100 pairs that have it.
3. Re-enabled Sonos skill and found Sonos devices.
4. Created a ‘Sonos System’ group in Alexa and added all Sonos speakers to it.
5. Enable Alexa voice control on Eras 100 pairs.
6. When I want Alexa to play to Sonos, I have to say: “Alexa, play music in the sonos system”.

What doesn’t work:

1. I always have to state “in the sonos system” or it defaults music to the Echo Show. This group is set to Always play music when I say “Alexa, play music”.
2. The Echo Show screen doesn’t show what is playing on my music service even though it is the only one I’ve linked.

Unfortunately, even when I specifically say play on sonos, it doesn’t do that.
