Alexa can no longer play BBC sounds or Apple Music

For the last few days when i ask Alexa to play BBC sounds or Apple Music on my sonos devices it says “I’m having trouble” 

 

Things I have already tried:

  • factory reset of sonos devices
  • disconnect and reconnect alexa integration in sonos app
  • disconnect and reconnect apple music and bbc sounds service in sonos app
  • enable disable apple music / bbc sounds / sonos skills in alexa

Nothing works

 

The services work fine when played from alex advecis

 

any ideas?

I can’t offer any solutions but I can confirm that on my Roam, I can ask Alexa to “Play BBC Radio Sheffield” and she obliges by announcing “Playing BBC Radio Sheffield from BBC Sounds”.

Alexa working fine with BBC radio for me.  I don’t have Apple Music.

It sounds like Alexa is having trouble phoning home.  So, although it may be a stock answer, I would next try powering off router and Sonos, power router back on then Sonos.

You have tried lots of sensible things, apart from factory reset, which is generally useless at best.
