My boyfriend has recently brought a set of play 1 speakers. At the moment they just sit on the side tables either side of the bed, so I was considering getting him the wall mounts for Christmas. was just looking for people's opinions on them, any problems and whether it is worth the buy?

In my last home, I had a pair of PLAY:1 speakers mounted in my kitchen/breakfast nook, using Flexson mounts, so that the speakers were slightly tilted down. I had an electrician come in and put plugs near them, so I didn't have a power cord dangling from the speakers. I loved it. For me, it was worth it, totally.
Hi Jessicakay
This may be a bit overboard but there are shorter cables available for the Play 1's on a wall -mount. Of course it would require installing additional wall outlets. See them at the link: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_870SPCW/Short-Power-Cable-For-Sonos-Play-1-White.html?tp=6255
You might also consider concealing the power cord running down the wall (cheaper option). Click the link for an example: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Concealer-Wall-Cover-Raceway/dp/B01JKO8724
Cheers!
