Hello all,

After some advice regarding my current setup, and potential upgrades.

The system is in my pizzeria - simple setup, a pair of OneSL’s with Sub, and a Five in a seperate room. I stream music from my macbook air all day long, works great.

I’m looking to add a TV. Would like to be able to airplay video/audio from my macbook to the TV, and obviously have the Sonos system take care of the audio.

Was thinking of adding an ARC Ultra to the setup.

Just wanting to make sure this is technically feasible before purchasing.

Thanks!

Larry

As long as the TV is Airplay capable, that should work fine. A smart TV will have apps that you can use instead of your laptop, like YouTube, Apple TV and Amazon music. The Ultra would then be the main speaker (room) in the group.

Be careful with this. When watching a video program from the TV, audio from speakers Grouped with ARC will be delayed somewhat. If the ARC is in its own room (somewhat isolated from the other rooms)  this will probably not be much of an issue.
