I’m wondering if pairing a Sonos beam with my pair o Play one speakers is a good idea to enhance the sound of my music only setup

What aspect are you trying to enhance?
In Sonos-speak, you would “group” rather than pair them. A pair is a stereo pair. Alternatively you can “bond” them as surround speakers to the Beam.
For music, a Sub would prob give you more benefit than a Beam.
