Hi,
I was browsing the store page and I see a new type of stand is available: https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/speaker-stand-pair-one-play1.html

It does not state the maker (neither Flexson nor Sanus), are they actually produced by Sonos?
Regardless has any one tried them and found have thought on them - especially in comparison with the Flexson ones? (https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/flexson-adjustable-floor-stand-pair-one-play1.html, https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/flexson-floor-stand-for-one.html).

Thank you

Hi McMaKo

Sonos does not manufacturer stands. However since they bear the Sonos name on the bottom I’d assume they are made to Sonos specs with their blessing.

I have experience with Flexson and Sanus stands. I opted for the Sanus adjustable stand for my Sonos One’s. I did so because the Sanus stands would also hold a Play 1 and Play 3. I’ve been very pleased with the Sanus.

I mention this because the mounting for the stand you are asking about looks identical to the Sanus mount for a Sonos One. Having used both Flexson and Sanus it’s a good bet that the base is weighted on the stands you are considering. The height is 33 inch so your concern would be if mounted behind a sofa that there is enough clearance. The Flexson stand you linked to is adjustable.

As with any Sonos product you have a return window so deciding if you like them should be simple. It’s not as if you have to listen to them as you might do with speaker.:)

Personally I like the design and would opt for them on my next purchase. I say try them and then may be you’ll be so kind and post your opinion.:8

Note: Sonos One’s mount by friction... there are no screws. Therefore, be careful not to bump the speaker itself with excessive force.

Cheers!
