Sonos Beam with Play:1

Hello,

I have two Play:1 speakers (Sonos OS:S2, version 12.2.1, build 61183170, hardware version  1.20.1.6-1.1, series ID A200). I’m thinking about buying the current Beam that’s on sale for my TV. Would I be able to use the two Play:1 speakers as “surround sound” (i.e., place them on end tables on either side of the couch) with the Beam?

Thanks!

Yep, as long as they are both PLAY:1s, they will work as surrounds. A quick check for suitability is stereo pairing them. If that works, they will be fine as surrounds.

I am new to this forum and also new to a Sonos Beam - I’m Beaming

I have two Play 1 speakers and they are currently set to stereo pairing

How do i set them so that they can be added as Surround Speakers to my beam ?

Also how do i toggle them on and off as surround - as in I don’t want them always connected as surround ?
