I have upgraded my TV sound system and now have a redundant playbar and a pair of play 1s.
I have configured as a surround sound system in another room.
Is this the best way of using them for audio?

If you don’t have surround sources you could un-bond the surrounds and pair them as another room.

It may be a waste but I have a Beam serving in a 5x7 bathroom. It fits in nicely and we don’t shower in there so it works for us.

The Playbar is pretty good for music, I believe. So I’d use it in one room and the Play:1’s in another.

If you don't need it for another TV I wouldnt go for surround setup. I sold my old Playbar, thinking about it now Id mount the Playbar in my hall way, I think it actually would have fit nicely there and use the Play:1s in other rooms.
