Play:1 replacement that fits the Sanus stand

I have a set of play:1’s sitting on Sanus stands as part of my Sonos home theater system. One of them has been acting up and not working, so I need to replace it. I was thinking of just getting a new set of era 100s, but I’m not sure they will work with the existing stand. What current offerings work with that stand?

Hi

Find stands for Era 100 at the link below:

But I would prefer not to have to buy new stands.

Since the stands specify compatibility with Play:1, Play:3 and One/One SL, those are your options for the stands.

Unfortunately you have no choice. The base of the Era 100’s are designed differently from the Play 1 base.  Besides there is a 10 year gap between speaker design of the Play 1 vs the Era 100. Things change.

Thanks all. I’ll probably try to find a replacement Play:1 for now and upgrade fully later.

You could add an adapter plate to support the 100s, I’d try that before tossing the old stands.

A nice piece of oak, cut and sanded to fit, then sprayed a matching black wouldn’t be expensive. Around $10 here for enough to make several attempts.
