Hi @jefftb
Here are a few options for your Rooms/Zones.
- All configurations use the advanced Sonos S2 App.
- Sonos Arc/Beam 2 can be configured with either Alexa or Google voice assistant.
- An Alexa Dot or Google Home Mini can be integrated to command Sonos in Kitchen and Patio when user is not near the Arc or Beam2.
- Siri is not compatible with Sonos
- All speakers can be tuned to the room environment using TruePlay with an iOS device. In-ceiling/In-wall speakers must be Sonos speakers by Sonance to use this feature.
- All Zones are independent to play a different music source or can be Grouped to play same music source with no buffering/delay.
- Sonos Sub can be used with all configurations. 3rd party sub can be used with configurations using a Sonos Amp if in close proximity to be wired via coxial cable
- TV audio routed through ceiling speakers will experience a 75ms delay.
- Also recommend running ethernet to points where a TV, Arc or Beam2 is used
- Although Sonos will work over home wifi I recommend wiring a Sonos component to main router (via ethernet) to create the SonosNet for best synchronization in your setup.
- Yours is an aggressive project in terms of product placement and wiring for centralization. Therefore, I recommend enlisting the services of a professional installer. You might also find that Sonos may not be best solution in whole or part.
