Only need it for a speaker, not really any of the features the new ones come with. Do you think it's worth $70 bucks at this point in 2020?

Yes I do ...and if it has not been traded-up already you could later trade-up the speaker for a 30% discount off a new Sonos product (whilst the offer exists). You will need to check the trade-up option with the seller and just ensure you reside in a Country where the Sonos offer exists.
You can only use S1 with this speaker - If you’ve upgraded the rest of your system, this speaker would have to be independent.
If you are on S1 or don't care about it being seperated from the rest of your system, then I would say that price beats the cost of the Play 1 and Play 3 and should also sound better in theory.
