Ikea SYMFONISK lamp discontinued?

Had one of my SYMFONISK lamps die, Sonos rouble shot over the phone and recommended replacement. So mailed it back to family in the states to return and they were told at the Tampa Ikea that the SYMFONISK lamp was discountinued. they had no more there and couldn’t order it from the store to ship to my families house anymore. Anyone else heard of this? I was able to order one online and had it shipped ot my familys place still. The ikea employee said he thinks its because of issues with them? I have another that is perfectly fine. Hope this new one is not a dud too!

    Was just told the same thing. Online and in store (Florida) out of stock. Item discontinued and final sale date set for January.

    My country is doing some price reduction for Ikea SYMFONISK, I am wondering what will happen when Ikea discontinued them, will they still get firmware/support from Sonos? Can someone from Sonos to confirm, I just want to get a pair of bookshelf as sourround speakers to complete my 5.1 setup

    For real Sonos gear support is guaranteed for at least five years after discontinuation. I see no reason why this is different for IKEA. But since the speakers are sold through them, why not ask IKEA?

      Guys, Since the discount is ending on Dec. 24th, it’s most likely due to the Christmas season. :sunglasses:

        My question arises due to the experience from other members and discount is ending in my country on 13 Dec and if as other shared the product final sale date is set on 2021 Jan, I don't expect local Ikea shop can answer this but I am thinking to buy and keep it until Jan to figure out as might want to return it if that's real

          I also heard they are discontinuing the Symfonisk lamp.  The web site in Canada says “last chance to buy”.

           

          I’m wondering if the lamps have reliability issues ?  You mentioned a failure with yours ?

           

          I recently discovered this product and am quite fond of it...
