Your profile shows that you already own a number of Sonos devices so you know the difficulties that can sometimes be had with controller/network/devices.
The need to have an app to control the system does, in my opinion, run serious risks. What if speaker/app gets out of sync? What if you provide a control device (tablet for example) and someone loses it? Or if someone just maliciously abuses the system?
If it were me I’d be far more likely to go with a DAB receiver or suchlike, with Bluetooth to let folk play from their own Bluetooth-enabled devices.
