I have just bought a new sony android TV (Sony KD-XF8505) which is connected to my sonos playbase via the optical cable and cannot control the volume throught the TV remote control?
My previous TV was LG and it was working straing away.
Is there any specifiy setting which I have to activate or Sonos is simply not compatible with android TVs?

Not at all familiar with that specific remote, but have you added it to the Sonos? It wouldn't automatically work, you have to add it via the normal process. And it needs to be an IR remote, it wouldn't work with a bluetooth connecting remote.
