Best sub for Beam Gen 2, 600 SQ FT apartment

I live in a 2nd floor wood frame apartment.  I’ve a Beam 2 and 2x Sono ONE Gen2.  I like to replace the two ONE’s with a SUB.  Can anybody recommend one?  Doesn’t have to be brand new.

For news neither will really make a difference, surround audio will be minimal at best, same for the frequencies the sub responds to.

Movies, I'd want the surrounds first, then the sub but both if at all possible as they offer different enhancements to the Beam's sound that compliment each other.

Music, probably the sub first but I also really like the surround ambient mode for sitting and listening or full mode for parties or even just moving around the room or apartment, nice volume boost without pushing the drivers in the Beam.

Apple TV 4K zapewnia wyłącznie dźwięk PCM Stereo (Linear PCM Stereo).

Czy lepiej zmienić format na:
Zmień ustawienia formatu audio w Apple TV na stronie:

Zmień format: Wł.

Nowy format: Dolby Digital 5.1

Aktualny format audio jest taki, jak pokazano na obrazku

With the settings you have, it will play what the source is encoded in. If that’s stereo, it will play in stereo. I don’t believe Apple up-mixes the sound, even if you switch it to Dolby Digital output.

In your opinion, would it be better to change the format to:
Change format: Enable
New format: Dolby Digital 5.1

or leave it as is with Atmos?

Leave the setting as is. “Auto” means exactly what it says. Whatever Apple TV streams you get that codec (audio) and also Dolby Atmos if available. For the record I have my AppleTV set as shown in your picture.

If you leave the Era 100’s set as surrounds; in the app for the room, you can set them at Full stereo for music and they will automatically switch back to surround mode for movies.

Głośniki Era 100 są ustawione na tryb dźwięku przestrzennego.

Jak mogę ustawić pełny dźwięk stereo dla muzyki w konkretnym pomieszczeniu za pomocą aplikacji Sonos?

Remove the 100s as Surrounds.

Add one to the new Room.

Add the second to that Room as a Stereo Pair.

If you want Full sound from the while still set as Surounds change the mode from Ambient to Full.

The Era 100 speakers are set to surround sound mode.

How do I set up full stereo sound for in-room music using the Sonos app?

How do I do this? Where can I find it in the app?

  • Go to settings in the controller
  • Choose your home theater ‘room’
  • Scroll down and select Surround Audio
  • Under Music Playback, choose either ’Full’ (which you want) or ‘Ambient’

Note that on this same ‘page’ you can control the volume difference between the surround speakers and the ‘front’ three speakers in the soundbar.

In the "Group Audio Delay" tab, what are your settings? Low 75ms or Max 2000ms
