Sonos Radio HD Popup
I subscribe to Sonos Radio HD. Why am I being advertised at within the app? Additionally, what kind of gerbil dev doesn’t at least check that the user isn’t in a menu or, say, the volume controls before popping up something like this? If you’re going to show these obnoxious CTA’s at least make the minimum effort to not be a d*** about it. Also also, if I tap anywhere outside the bounds of the ad, the reasonable expectation would be for it to dismiss. That little X is not very conspicuous. Anti patterns everywhere, unless you’re a parasitic advertiser. Might as well just put a Spin the Wheel modal; it wouldn’t be much lower on the bad-advertising food chain.Mod edit: removed bad language
Play 5 Gen2 L+R+Sub(Gen3) - line-in via TV music heard but no voice
Before I separated my wifi mesh to stop band steering, I could use my Play 5 Gen2 L+R stereo and Gen3 sub to watch movies from line-in via the tv and listen to music although, the sub would usually appear as a “?”. When I used trueplay, the music would play for about 5 seconds, then the sub would stop working, followed by the right speaker and the sub would disappear from the network.After 3~4 hours on the phone with Sonos, I arrived at separating the wifi to 2.4 and 5 Ghz and placing the speakers all on 2.4GHz. The speakers now can trueplay, but now the line-in from the tv will only play the music track with no voice track.Does anyone have any insight into resolving this or should I just factory reset all the speakers and start again?
S2 App Suggestion for Sonos to Implement.... what do you think?
I wish Sonos would have the sub adjustments on the same screen as the EQ. It would make fine tuning the sound so much easier, especially when A/B testing more/less bass on eq versus more/less bass on sub setting.It would also be great to have the option to save different eq and sub presets for different kinds of music (or tv). Anyone agree?
Why is Sonos not able to address all the stuttering issues? Stutter started on my Sonos a few months ago. It never happened before. Suddenly it happens intermittently in all movies. Some times it’s very bad sometimes it’s for brief periods. i thought it was the streaming on my LGTV. On chance I started reading in Sonos and realized that there seems to be no resolution on why it happens just that people have to submit their diagnostics. So what exactly causes these stuttering issues?
Parameters in the API requests/responses that distinguishes between Sonos S1 and Sonos S2
We are working on a feature on Sonos S2 device and some of our changes are impacting Sonos S1, as the same SMAPI are getting invoked for both S1 and S2.Is there any incoming string like version or something similar that will help us distinguish between S1 and S2.
MOVE reduction in sound playing a movie thru macbook
I bought the MOVE to use as a sound source for when we have outdoor movies however we’ve been really frustrated to find out that when you airplay the sound or bluetooth the sound from a movie played on a MacBook Air the sound from the MOVE is at 50% of what it typically would be if you were playing music directly from the app. I called SONOS & they have no idea why it does this. Very frustrating because the MOVE could be ideal for this if it worked at it’s typical volume.
a quick simple question
Help with a simple question i have arc and surrounds and a lgcx tv that has earc which is set up correctly and turned on, in settings ive got digital sound out options with 3 options pcm, auto or pass through my simple question is what should I have it set to, Ive looked all over this forum loads of people have asked the same question but not one answer, loads of answers going around the issue just like a politician would, because I have earc enable does that override all other settings, thank you
New Home Configuration
I am building a new home. I am not looking for a high end theater set up. Attached is my floor plan. I plan to use a soundbar, sub-woofer, and 2 ceiling speakers for TV viewing. Note TV is in the corner. I would use two ceiling speakers which are in marked in red with an amp. It is my understanding the ceiling speakers should be behind the seating area. Does that seem accurate? My second option would be to add two more speakers (blue) and play only music through the whole room with 4 speakers. The room measures 26’8” x 20’6”. Can I have the blue speakers off for the TV and all 4 on for music. Can I accomplish this with one amp? Thanks.
Use iphone App when Desktop is turned off?
I am new to Sonos. My Sonos Connect is attached to my desktop, thus leveraging the desktop app to play. I want to know if there is a way to play the system from my Sonos iPhone app when the desktop is shut down? I don’t want turn it on just to run the Sonos system.
Modular Sonos Upgrades
Seems that since people would have to replace components when digital tech exceeds capabilities of legacy equipment (ie S1 v S2), a Modular approach might be better to upgrade your system products. Separate the digital processing aspects from the audio/analog-power systems and provide modular pieces. Provide a way to plug and play upgrades. This way you may be able to update processing without people having brick components or separate between controller system versions and pay for replacing a perfectly good audio portion. You might also be able to release audio system module upgrades as well. Of course, this may not be your current business model, but some good System Engineering could help you solve these business issue problems.
Itunes playlists not showing anymore?
HiAll of my Itunes playlists have stopped being available on Sonos - it just says ‘no selections are available’. I’ve not actually wanted to listen to a playlist for a while but they used to play with no problems. I’ve not changed any settings on either Sonos or Itunes, there have literally been no changes to either so does anyone have any idea how I can get them on Sonos again. I’ve removed my library and readded it, I’ve updated my library countless times but they just won’t show up?Any help would be much appreciated.
All of a sudden my Sonos speakers ( all eight) have interrupted sound?
The audio from my Sonos system of seven years has suddenly started going in and out….I have been recording from a turntable to a reel to reel through a Sonos connect for years with no problems. Line in has always worked through all eight of my speakers. Not sure what the problem is? I noticed that it is also cutting out when playing my music library. Looking for some advice! Thank You!
Sonos Arc & Samsung Q900 compatibly
I see quite a few sporadic messages for intermittent connectivity issue between the Sonos Arc & many Samsung TVs. My symptoms seems to be very similar to others where audio completely cuts out and a lot of restarts later, the audio (eARc) is restored. I’ve tried new cables, different AnyConnect settings, varying audio formats and the issue persists. does anyone have a long term fix for these issues? thanks in advance!
