Wired Play 3 connection problems

Hi all,

I have Sonos in 7 rooms around my house, but the one I have most problems with is part of a stereo pair of Play 3s in my Study.

The incoming electricity cable travels in the ceiling space directly above it, so I assumed that that was part of the problem, so I wired it back to an access point.

Even though it is wired I have to restart it pretty much every day as it loses connection.

Any obvious reasons that I may have missed?

Thanks in advance.

Could easily be a duplicate IP address issue, which could linger, based on settings in your router. Try unplugging the PLAY: 3 from power, then reboot your router. Give the router a few minutes to boot back up, then plug back in your PLAY:3. Give it a couple of minutes to boot before testing, too.

However, if that doesn’t work, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
