I have a new Samsung Galaxy phone. Phone says Sonos not connected to wifi. Tried Sonos tech support. The guy worked with me to try all different things. All failed. After about a 1/2 hour, he hung up on me. Meanwhile, my old Motorola worked perfectly. Can anyone help?
Anything like a VPN or ad bocking on the new phone?
Is it connecting to the same wifi SSID and band on your router as the old one?
Do you have two routers in your home, or an extender, or a mesh system?
I am wondering, a if any of the able is correct , if the new phone is connecting to a different AP ?
Stanley_4 - No VPN or blocking that I know of. How can I tell if phone is connecting to the same wifi SSID as my old phone?
Pools-3015 - I don’t understand your second sentence. Can you please be more clear? What’s an AP?
Yes, we have two routers, one in house and one in barn with an extender. No mesh system.
In this context “AP” = “Access Point”.
A router is a take charge guy. If there are multiple, fully active, routers on a network, the user usually loses the fight for control. One of the routers should be in ‘Bridge’ mode so it will not give out any IP addresses.

AP is short for access point, and if you have two routers in your network, one of them should be configured as an access point or in bridge mode. The wording will depend on the manufacturer.
You will then configure the router with the same SSID (WIFI name) and password as the main router. This will extend your wifi without needing to have separate SSIDs.

You should have a Connection menu on the phone that will provide that information.
Thank you to everyone. I appreciate your input.
