Sonos one not recognised by sky router but works fine with Ethernet cable. Microphone not illuminated.

That suggests (not definitively, but a possibility) that your network doesn’t match the data in the Sonos Network Requirements FAQ.
Conversely, there might be an issue in the WiFi system in your One, in which case you’d need to call Sonos Support to discuss it.
