What is Sonos Ray Media Server?

I noticed this appeared on my network after installing a Sonos Ray.

What is it for?

It appears to be a upnp server of some sort.

I would like to disable it if possible?

I tried support but they didn’t know surprisingly.

Every Sonos device exposes UPnP services over the network, and MediaServer is one of them. Nothing to be alarmed about, it is required to work. Here are all of them:
