I have two Play:5 gen1 in stereo pair in the kitchen.
Very often the sound suddenly becomes louder or lower by it self.

I have many Sonos products but the problem is only located in the kitchen.

I have updated the software and tryed to reinstall but the problem isn’t solved.

Any suggestions for me?

Hi @Stjerneby

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

There are several reasons why a speaker might change volume without input from yourself: it might be a command from a third-party app, a voice command, a Sonos app running on a different device, or the speaker may be trying to protect itself from harm. It may even be a cat, but, as Play:5 Gen 1s don’t have touch-sensitive controls, this is less likely.

Whatever the cause, the speakers will have logged the event and where the command came from - I recommend you submit a support diagnostic soon after the next time you see/hear this occur, then get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Alternatively, please let me know here when you have submitted a diagnostic and I’ll take a look - please be aware that this may take more time than just calling in, however.
