Unreliable Sonos system

Hi everyone,

I bought a Sonos set second hand and I am experiencing some problems. For some reason the app is very slow while using it with my system. When I use the app at my friends place it is sooo much faster. Also randomly speakers stop playing music and then start again. Sometimes they stop completely. Especially my playbar was having this issue. Everything is connected with a Sonos Boost and I have connected the playbar via ethernet, this seems to have improved the situation a bit.

My system includes:

Playbar

Subwoofer gen 1

2x Sonos One

Sonos Boost

Does anyone know how to diagnose the issue? Or what is going wrong? I have a feeling that the Sonos app designates one speaker as the main one and that is where the music is controlled and that it is going wrong there.

You could try taking the Boost out of the equation as it is old tech that doesn’t seem to be supported with the new app as I understand it.

With the Playbar plugged in by Ethernet, it’s already creating the Sonosnet network that the other speakers can connect to. You shouldn’t need the boost at all.

Then reboot the lot at the wall, and reopen the app.
