I just brought the ikea symfonisk and just done updating my network for the symfonisk but i am still unable to setup a new system as i am unable to find my Symfonisk in the network.
 
1. Router is set to 2.4g and connected to Symfonisk
2. Phone is connected to the 2.4g network as well 
3. Update network works fine i tried 5g, 2.4g still unable to solve the issue
4. in my router settings i can see that Symfonisk and my mobile phone is connected to my 2.4g network but still unable to find each another in Sonos app.
5. I disable 5G network in my router settings, therefor theres only 2.4g for symfonisk to be connected to

Not sure what you mean when you say you’ve updated your network but have you installed the very latest Sonos app version from yesterday, and conducted the overall firmware update for any existing speakers (you might not have any as you say a new system?), under Settings / Manage / System updates?

Exactly the same here and “support” was zero help. They were as frustrated as me over the current inability of the app to get my speaker configured. Seriously unimpressed with the whole Sonos experience.
