Turntable + Port + Mobility

Hello, I’m a brand-new Sonos owner, and I think I screwed up.

My setup:

Fluance RT85

Schiit Magni preamp

Port

2x Era 100

Beam (Gen2)

My goal: play my turntable throughout the house and also have surround for my tv.   I now realize this isn’t possible when Eras are set to Surround.  I can live with just the Beam for my TV, but the Eras aren’t as mobile as I’d hoped (require power).

Should I have purchased two Moves instead of two Eras?   I’d love for the functionality of listening to the turntable in my living room and being able to pick up and take the music with me to the kitchen, etc.

Will the Moves run into the same can’t use with turntable when set to surround issue?

(In my defense, I’m a new dad and I’m very tired.)

Thank you!

The Moves cannot be used as surrounds in a Sonos home theater setup. So you didn’t screw up.

To achieve what you want, connect the turntable to the Port, set up the Era 100s as surrounds with the Beam, and add another speaker in the kitchen. OR don’t use surrounds with the Beam and use one (or both) Era 100s in the kitchen.
