"There was a problem checking for updates"

Totally new to Sonos.. 

Had a ROAM supplied with a new caravan today  

Got it home to connect to the Internet and the app says I need to do an update.

OK... 

Go to "update" and get a message saying problem checking for updates. 

I cannot go back to the main dashboard.

I have uninstalled the app.

I have rebooted the intenet/wifi/app/speaker 

I cannot use it at all as I can't get passed the update problem..

I have exact same issue with Move. Cannot find a solution

Also @Kazza99:

Download the Windows or Mac app for Sonos from the Sonos website. This still has some similarities to the old phone app, so try running the speaker/system update on there instead of your phone. The desktop app has proven a solution for others.
