I have bought in total 4 Symfonisks about a year ago. In theory they work fine but they have only seem to be getting worse in terms of music playback.

My setup is only those symfonisks. I have one (symf1) hardwired to ethernet as it is close to the router. I don't have a very big house and it is all one floor, the furthest 1 symfonisk is, is at about 12 m (symf4, with direct line 4 walls in between. Furthermore, another one is in the bedroom at about 8 m with 2 walls inbetween both the symf1 as well as the router.

I have tried also removing the ethernet (symf1) and rebooting all symfs but this didn't not help.

I also tried putting all of them on 2.4GHz.

They have switches over to Sonosnet a couple of times but it seems that they dont always keep that configuration.

My wifi is really stable and high speed with low latency. All devices stay connected and have 0 issues with video calls. Also manual pinging shows consistently low values (<10ms with most of them 1-2ms).

The issues I am getting are driving me crazy. I already often searched for this online and tried many of the options but none worked properly for longer periods of time.

The most unstable one is the furthest one. Sometimes it works for a surprisingly long time. Best I got I think 3 hours of continuous playback. But way more often either the symf4 just falls of the Sonos network or just stops playing an stays visible but does nothing, stopping music playback.

Sometimes I can just press play in Spotify or Sonos and it immediately starts playing again which confused me.

I also tried checking the support/review URL with the network matrix which 99% of the time just shows all green nodes/symfonisks and one white ethernet/symf1 node.

OFDM ANI levels are 0,3,0 where the symf4 is at 0. As I am writing this this exact thing happened and it stopped, urls aren't reachable +content can't be played in Sonos.

After about 2-5 minutes of no music and unreachable URLs (ping does continue working though).

Even the Sonos in the same room as the wired symf1 and router least van 5 m distance direct line of sight does occasionally drop out and then reconnects after seconds to a minute.

Do you have any recommendations for this problem. If it helps I use a Zyxel EX5601-T1.

Or maybe even better troubleshooting steps that can pinpoint better what in the world causes these problems?

If you need more informations please ask

The next time this occurs, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes, and call Sonos Support to discuss it at your next opportunity. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Have you already assigned to each one a own IP? This could be the problem although you don't have much devices
