I read about the Sonos Sub Gen 3 and now the Gen 4. But what I hear mainly is it’s performance with Home Theater Surround sound. What about music?? Does it sound good when listening to music? I’d like to know because I ordered a Gen 4.

Both the Sub Gen 3 and Gen 4 are ported, if that’s what you were getting at. The Sub Mini is sealed. There is the believe that sealed subs are better for music, while ported are better for home theatre. It’s really up to the listener decide what they like best.

Not sure how the frequencies played by a Sub would be different when playing sound from a TV source than it would from a Music source. I think you’re thinking too much, it should be fine.

Thanks for the responses. I have 3 Sub Minis, two in my living room another in my Family room. I am looking to replace one sub mini in my Living Room with the Gen 4. We’ll see how it sounds.
