yes that is a bummer but if you connect one of your Sonos to your router it will give you a solid connection to your wifi and lessen you connection problems and also remember to clear qeich and hit apply when selecting speakers to play. GOOD LUCK !
I had that problem with my sub until I wired to my router.
Hi @ManuM
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with no audio coming out of your Era 100 speaker when playing Bluetooth audio.
To be clear, this has nothing to do with a WiFi connection - it is Bluetooth, which is entirely separate.
What is your source Bluetooth device? Have you tried rebooting it? Please do so, if not. It is more reliable afterwards?
Do you get the same behaviour with other Bluetooth source devices? Please test if possible, and if you have not already done so.
I see you have a second Era 100 - what happens if you connect Bluetooth to it instead of the first Era 100?
If you find that you get the same behaviour regardless of what you try, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.
I hope this helps.
I have the same problem with Plat2 speakers that are on a dedicated up. The SONOS app shows as playing but no sound. Generally disconnecting and then reconnecting work but occasionally it requires me to unplug and plug back in. Never a problem with newer equipment.
Hi @Maddyindc
I don’t know exactly what you meant by “Plat2”, but no Sonos speakers with the Play moniker are Bluetooth compatible. In addition, with speakers that are Bluetooth compatible, the Sonos app is not used for Bluetooth playback.
