Sonos Play:5 (gen1) will not factory reset

Hi,

I have 2 Sonos Play:5 (gen 1)

I have tried resetting both today, the first worked as advised.

The second system, which is exactly the same, will not reset despite following all advice found online.

I have tried to hold down the mute button while plugging in the power cable and holding as worked for the other speaker but this does not appear to work.

Please could you advise?

thanks,

Sam

What is the speakers status LED showing, post reset?

If you have tried the factory reset more than once and that reset was as per the instructions in this link:

https://support.sonos.com/s/article/1096

…and you still have no joy, then perhaps contact/chat to Sonos Support Staff about the matter via this LINK and see what they can suggest to resolve the matter

Hi Ken,

Thank you for your response - I have spoken with support and unfortunately the device is not repairable.

Thanks again!

Sam
