I play a continuous three-hour white noise track in my bedroom 24/7 (well, ideally). The track is by itself, no playlists, and the repeat is set to single track. After it repeats a couple of times, Sonos changes the track to anything else in my Spotify account (which is usually tech house and as you can see is pretty much the opposite of what I want to listen while sleeping).

I have reseted all my Sonos devices, the router, the network in general, and nothing. I have even disconnected my Spotify account and nothing. I have tried playing the track directly from Sonos and directly from Spotify. Same thing. Oh, and I pay for Spotify.

Has anybody experienced this? Or maybe somebody can suggest something? Anything…? I keep waking up at 4ish am with techno music thumping my walls. Thanks!

Sonos plays what it is handed by the Spotify servers, it doesn’t choose a different track on its own. You’ll probably need to talk with Spotify.

Good idea. I’ll ask as them well. However, it happens only with Sonos, and not Spotify on Bluetooth.

Makes some sense, not only are the speakers reaching out, rather than your phone, but they’re also reaching out to a different server. Different network paths to different locations.

One symptom of the error is that once the even t happens, the Sonos speakers are inaccesible. I cant access the speaker to change the song or play anything from either Sonos or Spotify app. It stays stuck for a while. The only quick solve is to unplug the speaker.

I am aware of that. The symptom is the same when everything is working fine.
