Setup for 2 Sonos One SL Speakers

I received two Sonos One SL speakers last Christmas and after multiple tries gave up on trying to figure out how to set them up. Here again a year later I thought I would give it a shot and still no luck. A couple Issues:

  1. One speaker will connect, the other one will not connect for anything. I have unplugged multiple times.
  2. The multiple Sonos apps are extremely confusing. I really just want to connect my phone to the speakers and play my music from Pandora and Spotify.
  3. Is it possible to play music on the speakers via Pandora or Spotify?

Trying to make use of what sound to be quality speakers and prevent these speakers from continuing to be dust collectors another year. Sitting on hold now, but any other advice in case this call doesn’t work?

Thanks!

You should be using only the Sonos S2 app (gold icon).  Get rid of any others.

If you have successfully connected one speaker, you have already set up your system.  You should then use the Sonos app to go to Settings > System > Add product to add the next speaker.

After that process is done, go to Settings > Services and Voice > Add a service to add your Pandora and Spotify accounts.

If you are using the speakers in different rooms, you should be all set.  If you want them as a stereo pair in the same room, see this link:

Sadly you may have gone past the Sonos one year replacement warranty but your second speaker might have been defective.

If you get the working one connected to an S2 controller app you should be able to submit a diagnostic to Sonos and then call them with the number it gives you.

It can help to temporarily connect the speaker to your router with an Ethernet cable whilst you add it to your system. Once done, it can be disconnected.
